Nathan and Kristen are missionaries with Mission To The World to the people of Cusco, Peru. They have been married for 6 1/2 years. Nathan is an ophthalmologist and Kristen is a family medicine nurse practitioner. After Nathan finished medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in 2006, they moved to Birmingham, Alabama. There Nathan completed his internship with Baptist Health System, and Kristen completed her training as a nurse practitioner at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. They then moved to Temple, Texas for Nathan to complete his residency training in ophthalmology.
Shortly after marriage, they both felt called by the Lord to move to Cusco, Peru with a team of four other families of healthcare providers. Their goal together is to serve long-term, providing quality medical care for the poor and sharing the love of Jesus. Nathan and Kristen arrived in Cusco in May 2011.
